A Little Bit of Lace

I recently completed another drawing while listening to Marisa's (Creative Thursday) amazing e-course podcasts.  I went to place this one in Illustrator and for some reason it placed the colors in reverse, as if it were a white drawing on black paper.

A happy accident, I suppose, because I love the way the drawing now looks a little like lace!  Here's a closer look.  Keep in mind this is a low-res fie and I haven't smoothed out the lines yet:

Gorgeous work (fishie)! I'd love to see what your original drawing was like before you entered it into Illustrator. I've been wanting to import some of my work into Illustrator but have not done so yet - as a Graphic Designer who left the field to pursue painting - its been a while since I used Illustrator. Your work is gorgeous and very inspiring. I look forward to seeing more :-)
